Logistics

Taghazout is best reached by flying into Agadir Al Massira Airport, which has regular domestic and international flights. From the airport, Taghazout is about a 45-minute drive—taxis, airport shuttles, and affordable buses (like ALSA Bus 32) are available.

There are no direct trains or boats to Taghazout, but you can take a train to Marrakech or Casablanca, then a bus or shared grand taxi to Agadir before continuing onward. Roads are generally reliable year-round, but June weather can be windy; pack accordingly, especially if carrying electronics.

For digital nomads, long-distance buses (like CTM or Supratours) offer Wi-Fi and comfort at budget-friendly rates, making them a practical option for work on the go.

Weather

Taghazout enjoys a mild, Mediterranean climate warmed by Atlantic breezes. Summers are pleasant and dry, with highs around 25–28°C (77–82°F), while winters are cooler, rarely dipping below 13°C (55°F). Rainfall is minimal, mainly in winter, making Taghazout a year-round destination for outdoor activities and surfing.

From June 5 to June 12, expect sunny, warm days and cool evenings—ideal for beach lounging, water sports, and al fresco dining. Extreme weather events are very unlikely during this period. The inviting climate supports lively nightlife, surf culture, tours of the surrounding countryside, and fresh seafood cuisine throughout the summer season.

Food & Drink

Taghazout’s cuisine features fresh seafood, classic Moroccan tagines, couscous, and mint tea. Surf House Café is a favorite for healthy breakfasts and ocean views, while Dfrost Almugar Surf & Yoga offers a relaxed vibe and vegan options. For authentic Moroccan dishes, try Cafe Mouja or Let’s Be Healing Food.

Many places cater to vegetarians, vegans, and health-conscious visitors, reflecting the surf-town, digital-nomad crowd. Alcohol is available in some bars and resorts but isn’t widespread due to local customs. Tipping around 10% is customary in restaurants. Most eateries have wifi, making them great for working or relaxing between exploring and surfing.
